Silent Bo'ness

In Bo'ness again today, for the last day of the Silent Film Festival.

Had some lunch at Brian's Cafe before having a wander round looking at the festival themed window displays in local shops.

It has been a great few days and I love the fact that this ex mining town in West Lothian has been reborn, in part to the refurbished Hippodrome cinema and events such as this festival.

This street banner shows 'Dragnet Girl' (Hijosen No Onna), the 1933 silent Japanese Film Noir, we saw last night and its two main stars, Joji Oka and Kinuyo Tanaka. Amazingly, Joji, is still alive in Japan, at 109 years old.

Sadly, back to work tomorrow, I hope everyone has had a good weekend.
