Sunshine , Rainbows and rain

There has been a fine, persistent rain falling in this part of Argyll for most of the day whilst the sun shone not just within sight but sometimes overhead.

That strange combination resulted in some spectacular rainbows , like this one seen through the sunlit trees at the back of the house.
