99 Mouse Balloons

This cool dude was full of hot air - or should I say helium.

The poor chap looked bored stiff, and although the river banks and the area in front of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre were packed with people enjoying the sun, no-one seemed to be in the market for a balloon today.

It was a beautifully warm sunny day, and I think the council must have been taken a bit unawares. Normally they are very good and the litter bins are being constantly emptied, especially at weekends and Bank Holidays, but today the containers could not be contained and were over-flowing. Thankfully most folk were putting their rubbish nice and tidily next to the bins, but unfortunately some garbage was blowing into the river because there was a light breeze.

Another sure sign that spring has sprung - beef burger polystyrene containers floating down the Avon.
