Life doesn't get much more relaxing than a cup of tea, a biscuit and a good book. Just started The black Eyed Blonde by Benjamin Black - the new Philip Marlowe novel. A tough ask to follow Raymond Chandler, to mimic him and yet still write an engaging crime noir novel, but John Banville writing as Black has done a Stirling job so far. Really captured the voice of Chandler and I'm right back to being nineteen and discovering Chandler and Hammet for the first time.
