In tune

Not just the guitar but me too. I have a couple of things left to finish off today then it will be a case of winding down tomorrow and through the weekend in preparation for heading off to Alton Towers on Monday. We're not actually staying at Alton Towers as that's a complete waste of money. Instead we're booked in at a camp site about 4 miles away in a place called Freehay. We've stayed there before and tried to book a static caravan again for this trip nut they don't hav ethem any more. Instead we have booked a cabin which, despite being reasonably priced has a wet room, a flat screen telly and, best of all, a hot tub out on the decking. Add to that the free tickets we've got for Alton Towers itself from saving Tesco club card points and it should be a decent few days as long as we can avoid flooding.

The guitar wsn't the only thing tuned over the last couple of days though. In preparation for the trip Roz took the car in for a service expecting it to be somewhere between two hundred and five hundred quid. The actual bill was more like a grand!!! In fairness as well as the service ther replaced the timing belt, part of the exhaust, the tyres, did a complete fluid change and some other bits and pieces so the price is reasonable for the worjk done. The thing is it's definetely better to spend the money now and have a reliable car than for it to die and us have to replace it. I'll never buy another car from Arnold Clark though that's for sure.
