It's a Journey....

Winter Japanese Garden

Can't believe it has been almost a week since I have posted a photo. Happy to report that we lost a lot of snow last week!
I have had such a fun weekend. On Friday I met Laura and Carley for the opera! A Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera, but opera just the same. After the show we went out for coffee and talked for a long time - great evening!
Saturday night the Fabulous Armadillos did an Eagles Tribute show at our local auditorium. A group of young people from town who call themselves the Young Funks was the opening act. They did an excellent job and the crowd loved it!
Today was a good day to get out for some fresh air. This photo was taken in the Japanese Garden at the University of MN Landscape Arboretum. This is a tree that goes unnoticed during the summer but today I noticed it's interesting bark and curved trunk and the way the smaller tree in the background sort of follows the curved lines.
Hopefully this week I will get back on track with posting photos and visiting journals.
