Blackheaded Gulls

Larus ridibundus

Yes, I know they don't have black heads (that's in summer)
The one at the front is hunched over to avoid being blown @rse over tip by the gusty wind.
Took our pal from Oxford on a tour round the city today (this is at Dunsappie Loch) which mostly consisted of pointing through the lashing rain and madly beating windscreen wipers and saying, "Well, on a clear day, you WOULD be able to see...."

Cold too, the wind is from the NNE, straight in from Scandinavia; thanks Norges!
Snow lying on the distant hills. Brrrrrr! Not going out again if I can avoid it!
