Pondlife

We had heard lots of croaking coming from our pond for a few weeks but whenever we approach, the croaker mysteriously disappears.
The pond is now awash with spawn and I managed to creep up to photograph one of the larger "gentlemen" (that's a guess!).
We do worry about the pond, often having the grandchildren around but the pond has been established about 20 years and every year a host of frogs return to spawn...they would be devastated if they came and found the pond "missing" so, it remains and we have to take extra care!
