Trees Reflected

I drove to the Taylor Dam this morning… one of my favourite spots for Blip images. I was not disappointed. Although the sun had been up a while the light was still lovely. This image is captured alongside the section of the Taylor River that flows out under the culvert which runs under the large earth “flood retention” dam. The recent rains have put more water into this part of the river and that has meant that the dry sections of the river bed further downstream form the dam have been re-watered. The river is running its full length once again.
A group of Camera Club Members went on a kayaking trip this evening. It was organised by member, Will Parsons. He and wife Rose run an “Eco-tourism” business called Driftwood Eco Tours. We had a lot of fun on our three hour trip and some drama when one of our number tipped out of her kayak. Luckily the water was shallow and her camera was safely tucked away in the “Dry Bag”. She ended up walking back to base along the stopbanks. A wise woman, she had a spare set of dry clothes in her car. Will towed her kayak back to base. The light was poor for photography on this trip so sadly I had no suitable images to blip. But it was a great evening out.
