Grand Old Lady of the Skies

Mono Monday…. I was reminded by “Daring to Go” that it is Mono Monday …again. I have not participated in Mono Monday as yet so tonight was my chance. In a bit of a rush, I picked up Ricky and off we went out to the Omaka Airfield. We spent a bit of time capturing images of the small planes out there until our attention was taken by the “Grand Old Lady of the Skies”….. (at least she, is in my view) … the Bristol Freighter. Now here is a proper big plane, a no- nonsense job which gave many years of faithful service to “Safe Air”. This old girl carried the Royal Mail up and down the country for years and years. She is to be saluted!
