We flew home from Florida yesterday, and were delighted to see signs that the snow cover is slowly giving up its icy grip. There are patches of exhausted looking brown grass visible now, and you can even see bits of the flower beds where the sun shines long enough to melt that pesky white blanket.

Here are some brave little daffodils poking through the mulch. They still look a little pallid and thin, but they clearly have plans to continue emerging into the Spring air! I am hopeful that as the weather continues to warm, there will be more green shoots willing to take the plunge and sprout up.
