Binding

Missed yesterday due to the fun and games of 'fixing the fence' after the winter storms, and we're not yet done ... so not wanting to miss another day I was intending to fall back on my usual flower or still life, but have decided instead to go for a macro/texture approach.

This is the binding around the neck of one of our vases, definitely one of those tactile items which just has to be touched, which is probably why it looks the way it does.

Flash off to the right and with a white card to the left, I think this merits some more experimenting, perhaps later in the week when the weather is set to take a downward turn.
