Now, as I see it......

Bit of a culture day

W had to be in London again this afternoon so we went in early and visited the new 'Vikings' exhibition at the British Museum. Well worth a visit, and the reconstruction of a Viking longboat is very impressive. It's difficult to tell from this picture just how big it is, but let's just say it's BIG. While W was busy after lunch I went to the National Portrait Gallery for a look round; there was an interesting exhibition of paintings related to World War 1 which was quite moving, particularly some of the paintings of facial injuries that were made for record purposes rather than originally for display. Outside in Trafalgar Square was a large number of Galatasaray fans preparing for tonight's game against Chelsea; all seemed peaceful ..... For now.....

Thanks for all the comments on my Blip yesterday, and apologies for the lack of my comments over the last few days; been very busy!
