Almost there

Can someone please explain where the year went? It seemed summer was only a short while ago, and yet tomorrow is the first day of the last month of the year. Therefore an afternoon was spent eating mince pies (husband) and wrapping up the advent gifts for the calendar.

Though, truth be told. We shall be exceedingly glad when this year is over. It has indeed been our Annus Horribilis, firstly by losing our silly cat Talisker back in January and then Tiggy over the summer and finally in September our wonderful dog, Barney was diagnosed with acute leukemia and survived a further three days. In addition to having the incredibly devastating situation with our daughter no longer being able to live with us, for reasons I just can't go into.

Please, may 2010 be kind to us.
