Above Aira force

A much more pleasant day today than yesterday, and the group was keen to visit Aira force, Gowbarrow fell and Martindale today.

This cascade sits just upstream from the main Aira force waterfall, and I prefer this to the "big event"! I usually shoot it from a safe distance, as the slope leading down to it is rocky, covered in moss and very slippery! Today however, I felt bolder than usual, so slithered my way to the edge of the river, and shot it with a wider lens than usual. I used a polarising filter to suppress reflections on the non-turbulent parts. I also used a 10-shot multiple exposure to extend the shutter speed further.
