Star of the Show

If asked to name a famous drummer other than Phil Collins, many people would come up with Cozy Powell. Certainly every self respecting rock fan would.

Cozy died in a car crash in 1998 at the age of 50 but the legend lives on. Tonight 's gig was Graham Bonnet, former front man of Rainbow during part of Cozy's tenure. GB's voice tonight was, erm, embarrassing. In 35 years of going to concerts, this is the first time, ever, I have seen a main act fail to get an encore.

Anyway, apparently this is Cozy's kit as used at the first Monsters of Rock in 1980. Complete with cow bell.
