Why am I blipping this? Good question.

My new 50mm f1.8 lens has arrived. I had lots of fun last night experimenting with close ups of all sorts of household objects and found it does do them justice.

However, when I took it out on my walk today everything I saw made me want my 18-200mm zoom. Including this glamour couple across the road.

Nevertheless I went scrambling for my camera anyway, by which time they had moved a bit and didn't look quite as good. However I shot and cropped and hopefully you can imagine what a great image it could have been.

Which begs the question - which lens do you carry when you aren't sure what might come up?
