Happy Equinox, Earth-Dwellers!

Planet Earth has equal lengths of day and night today - the Spring Equinox north of the equator, the Autumn Equinox to its south.

For the 'northerners' of this planet, it marks true Springtime, though from today's gale force winds (up to 60km) and heavy skies, it doesn't feel much like it!

As I walked across the park, a mini-tornado of leaves whirled past, and this leaf skeleton (a reminder of last Autumn's Equinox) landed on my sleeve.

Its minute networks of veins are clearer in this negative image.
