The Liggar's Stone

The Liggar’s Stone near Inverurie’s Harlaw House is associated with the Battle of Harlaw.
Local legend says that the stone was placed on or near its present roadside site after being taken from a nearby stone circle to commemorate the womenfolk of the baggage train who died on or near the site on 24 July 1411.
Currently it is being used as a gatepost (20th March 2014).
