Another Uninspiring View

This is the GOG’s choice of picture and title today; I took the picture with my iPhone and it is not as sharp as it should be.

Progress

At lunch time today he was moved to a general ward although he still needs oxygen and the drain is still in his lungs. He is being allowed to administer his own medication and can move about a little more.

However, he was not best pleased when it came to supper time and he was told he had to have something from the ‘normal’ menu when in IDA he had been having food from the ‘special’ menu, which suits his condition better. Apparently the food from the ‘special’ menu, which also includes Halal, Kosher, Coeliac and various other diets has to be ordered forty-eight hours in advance! I wonder what the people who need these diets eat for the first forty-eight hours. Vegetarians and Vegans are catered for on the normal menu and generally they chose to do this, some of us do not, but I must not get started on that here. In IDA he ordered what he wanted for lunch at breakfast time and at lunch time ordered his tea. In fact his tea was down on IDA, but the ward he is on now do not have the facilities for heating it and it is against health and safety regulations for it to be heated in one ward and brought to another.

He has just sent a text to say that they have sorted out his food (I suspect he created enough fuss to get what he needed) and also that if all goes well he might come home on Sunday night.
