Parkinson Window, St Kentigern's, Kaituna Valley

This blip is of the window that sits above the altar at St Kentigern's, the small stone Church about halfway up Kaituna Valley.

As you can see, it shows a representation of the Christ standing in Kaituna Valley, surrounded by His flock of sheep. The viewpoint in the picture is pretty much that of the church itself - the reserve to the left hand side, with Mount Bradley in the background.

The Parkinson family were one of the founding families of the area, and their name is given to the road which branches off the Kaituna Valley Road towards the Packhorse Track.
