Powwow

My Blackfeet friend, Yukon, came to visit in my showroom to see my new work and show me his new collection of fetishes so I could have first choice. He lives entirely in the old ways: wears painted, brain-tanned buckskin leggings, a trade blanket breechcloth, otter-skin hat and beautifully quilled and beaded buffalo robe. He teaches traditional lore and makes fetishes and medicine bundles. He brought a parfleche box to me yesterday....loaded with goodies. I am going to sculpt him this autumn in this robe. He is one of the last to live this way.
