Reward!

Today Dolly went to the Vet's hospital for a heart scan as she has a heart murmur which has increased somewhat recently. There are various ways to keep monitoring this and a heart scan is one of them. Today they were doing a training with a top veterinarian cardiologist and Dolly was being used as a 'test case'.

It was mostly good news. She has a 'knobbly' valve but no heart failure at this point. For now she will have a little more frequent checks by the vet and I will monitor her breathing rate regularly.

Dolly's quite a popular dog wherever she goes. She was the first to be scanned and they let her stay in with them, nestled up in a little bed, while they scanned the others. They said she was very good, alternating between dozing and keeping watch at what they were doing. She's always incredibly observant and curious.

When I picked her up I rewarded her with a long walk around this nearby lake. As you can see, it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed both the lake and some woodland paths nearby. Dolly seemed happy to freely run around after her morning adventure at the hospital.
