Rockinghsam Castle

William the Conqueror ordered a motte asnd bailey castle to be built on this hill with a comanding view over the Welland valley. Thirty yeards later it was replaced with a stone castle. The castle is currently the famiuly home of the Sanderwsd Watson family and is opened to the public with special events taking place most bank holiday weekends. An afternoon iof sunshine and showers and just lucky enough to pasdds by when the sun was shining on the beautiful stonework.
