"in our little hideaway beneath the waves"

I had loads to write about and photograph today but the one photo that I really liked was this one of our ferry driver. He steers the tiny ferry from West Cork to Heir Island, where I was headed for a bread making workshop. All the photos I took of the bread didn't turn out very well so I think from now on I should just stick to photographing people as I do that better. Only 27 people live on Heir Island. I think I would like to be number 28, just for a few months, just to experience living remotely and somewhere with a slower pace of life. I think I would like it, but I am not too sure how well I would cope. Still, I'd like to give it a go one day.
