Waffles!

Yesterday was friend Merril's birthday, but I didn't attend her party for fear of infecting her other guests with whatever it is I've got. To make it up to her, I had her over to brunch this morning. In my family, celebratory breakfasts always include homemade waffles. I whipped up a batch and served them hot off the grill with the last of my maple syrup.
