Chateau de Josselin, Brittany

We returned from Moelan-sur-Mer to Rennes today, and saw this castle on the way. By some sort of error yesterday's text (on the cormorant) appeared Monday morning.

Here is the proper one, which I'd actually saved separately: We returned to Rennes from Thierry & Annick's in Moelan-sur-Mer. We stopped for lunch in Loriot, for a delicious meal of "moules frites" (mussels with French fries). Marylee ordered hers with a superb creamed curry sauce.

We went on to Josselin, just off the highway, stopping for a walk around the castle and the church. The birds circling around the towers are almost certainly Jackdaws, which regularly nest on high buildings. The town is definitely worth a repeat visit, but our hosts had to get back to Rennes to vote in the municipal elections (we are viewing the results now). Close to Rennes on the Autoroute there were occasional bits of rain and a couple of partial rainbows.
