"Over My Shoulder Goes One Care"

I photographed this male blackbird this morning. I find them quite difficult to capture. I like the way it is looking warily over its shoulder at me. I think it has a nest in one of our disused glasshouses. It's Mr Q's fault that my head is full of 1930s song titles. :)

I have been in and out all day with the camera dodging the hailstorms. I got a pair of tiny flies mating and a drenched, minute, green spider. I managed to get both of my long-tailed tits in the same frame, both had big white feathers in their beaks. At 5.45 pm I photographed a robin singing its heart out in the horse-chestnut tree bathed in golden hour light.
