Batu Ferringhi

The golden sands of the Batu Ferringhi beach in Penang, Malaysia makes for a quite beautiful place to spend the afternoon. My dear friend and I planned a weekend trip to Penang to catch up, eat good food, and relax. After exploring George Town during the day, we ventured to the beach and spent a few hours relaxing poolside for lunch and then along the beach. The water was like a bathtub and crystal clear. So beautiful!

Later that night we went to a Chinese Steam Boat restaurant and tasted a variety of foods (and decided we do not like Malaysian fish balls, even when shaped like angry birds!) and then went to a roti place to sample roti canai and roti tisu - which were totally delicious! We finished at a wine bar in Macalister Mansion - one of the strangest places in terms of decor I've been. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday!
