Selcouth

Selcouth - Strange, unusual, marvellous, wondrous.

Our garden is not overlooked by any of our neighbours which is always a good thing but was an exceptionally welcome one this this morning at about 8:00 am. It had been frosty overnight and as the sun came up it began to melt the frost in the grass and turned our lawn into a selcouth land of sparkling diamonds. What the neighbours would have seen in addition to this was two grown ups, Igor and I, foraging on hands and knees in the wet grass each with a camera in hand. I’m sure the first words that came into their heads would have been “what selcouth behaviour”!!

Igor was playing at being Dr Frankensheep and I was looking for strange and unusual beings that might have been lurking among those sparkling orbs. There’s the difference between us in a nutshell (he’s ‘Horror Story’ and I’m more ‘Fairy Tale’). I wonder if I managed to catch any of those elusive, magical beings? If you look large you might see something.

What’s that noise……? Is it the nee naw, nee naw of the men in white coats? Maybe there was someone watching us after all or maybe a worried blipper has just read both our entries for today!!!
