Pink Floyd - Interstellar Overdrive (Take 6) (recorded 16 March 1967)
On this day in 1967 Pink Floyd recorded take 6 of Interstellar Overdrive at London's Abbey Road Studios. This version was unreleased until the 40th anniversary package of The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn in 2007. The released version had been recorded on 27 February 1967, with overdubs added that June. It was much played at the art school I attended at the time, and I have seen them perform it live on many occasions, including their set at Mother's Club in Erdington that was recorded for the Umma Gumma album.
