Bellini or Bust!

My friend Tim has turned fifty-five among friends. Here he is receiving a surprise gift, at a birthday brunch party that he arranged himself.

In recent years, Tim has grown fond of the paintings of Giovanni Bellini (c. 1430 – 26 November 1516), and has studied the painter and his family a good bit. As it happens, Tim lives on a modest income and he has not traveled much over the years. Thus there was plenty of good sense at work when his closest friends passed the hat and raised over $5,000 to send Tim to Italy, so he can see and more deeply appreciate Bellini's work.

I can attest that "Timmy" Dunn richly deserves all this love from his friends and the community.
