Bleeding Hearts

More lovely in large ("L").

I took pictures of the various garden flowers in bloom, and also of Tank (our tortoise). I had the macro lens mounted (he hadn't warmed up yet, so was moving very slowly which helped) and noticed a strange eye effect that I've not before seen: when the light caught his eye just right a blue colour glowed out from the inside. It looked like a tapetum lucidum-type phenomenon (like the light reflecting back from the retina of nocturnal animals), but I don't remember seeing it in a tortoise before...
