Oswaldtwistle Mills and Garden Centre.

A cloudy, dull, cold day, but we were eager to visit the Mills for a shopping trip.
The new pancake and ice cream shop within the Mills, called Tootsies, opened only recently and they were putting in new flooring but sadly discovered there was water underneath. Hope the rest of the Mills is not suffering with the same issue.
Maria bought two nice recipe books to try out at uni, and I treated myself to a pink hyacinth. We looked at kitchenware and clothing.
The Garden Centre is doing so well they are extending it.
Lots of lovely shrubs and bedding plants.
The poem on the stone bird bath appealed to me:
The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
You are closer to God's heart in the garden,
Than anywhere else on Earth.
