Fishing at Dunkeld

The fishing season is underway on the Tay and on a day like today, with the sun sparkling on the river in full spate, it looked an idyllic spot to be fishing. As I walked along the north bank towards the village of Dunkeld I observed the tack of the boats. They zigzagged from one bank to another, systematically making their way up and down their allotted stretches. It was done very skilfully in very fast flowing water. I did not see a catch but I'd say the fishermen were having a whale of a time!
