Stephen Hough Piano Recital

A real treat this evening to hear this world famous classical pianist. The acoustics were excellent, and my seat afforded a great view of his hands bringing the keyboard to life.

The programme included his transcription of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, as well as works by Faure, Chopin and Franck. During the summer of 2009, he played all of Tchaikovsky's works for piano and orchestra at four BBC London Prom concerts.

Afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting him, and taking a quick shot of the keyboard of the concert grand piano.
