Doocot, Dollar Park, Falkirk

Having spent the past two weeks straining to look at tropical birds in Costa Rica - those with keener eyes than mine seemed to find them with considerably less effort - I went out this afternoon to photograph the daffodils in Dollar Park and came across these doves sitting in their doocot (English: dovecote). It was almost as if they were saying: "we've been here all along; where have you been all this time?"

So the daffodils went un-photographed (for today at least) and the doves take pride of place instead. Who needs toucans, macaws and blue herons anyway?
