West Burrafirth Chapel

Spent today exploring the west side of Shetland, an area I feel I should know better.

Came across this rather anonymous looking building at the side of one of the many single-track roads - anonymous with the exception of the dramatic War Memorial on the East wall that faces you as you come over the rise in the road.

Subsequent research tells me that it's the relatively recently restored West Burrafirth Chapel. For a closer look at the Memorial on Flickr.
