Blossom Bokeh...

Bright cheery daffs for yesterday's Blip lead to dull, dank and miserable day, today.

Cherry Blossom, again in grounds of Salisbury Arts Centre (as were yesterday's daffodils) taken with ultrawide Sigma 20mm f1.8, on full-frame D700 and wide open. At its world-beating closest focus of 0.2 metres, making the subject literally pop out from the background. No fancy editing tricks either - other than the background was softened in contrast a bit whilst the flower was separately sharpened and increased in contrast and colour.

Friday here and spring might even return for the weekend!
