Hofbräuhaus - beer hall

Today we went to the Schmuck Jewellery Exhibit/Craft Fair as the DAS Handwerk buidling. There was a wide array of jewellery on display alongside wood carving, furniture making/upholstering, stone tumbling, cloth making etc. Inspirational jewellery was present from designers such as... but the nost eyecatching pieces were done by... who focused on Kinetics - his pieces had movement while they were worn and exhibitted on the body. They were eye-catching and mezmerizing. 'All pieces are connected and it is nothing to do with magnets' he said. I can see this design as a new beginning and influencing modern, futuristic pieces.
It was astonishing to see jewellery on sale for over 18,000 euro which is somebodies yearly salary in one piece of body adornment yet the finish or product quality was never the best.
Later we got some free time so we wandered Munich and got some food we then took a Rickshaw (first time - was fun, Aileen and I couldn't stop giggling) to the Hofbräuhaus which is a famous beer hall known around the world for it's fine 1L of HB beer, hospitality and music. So glad we went so we can now say that we have happily sat amongst Steins of beer while seeing ladies and gentlemen walking about in their lederhousen offering pretzels! We all drank a HB Original (Erin, Maria and Aileen), Rebecca had a Radler. We then went to the Fedora which was like an uptown Glasgow bar (it was an English bar) which played the Strokes remixes so it was a home-from-home, closing came so we decided to head back, but that was after we got a McDonalds from a burger van - yes, we had a Maccy Ds while in Munich (how cool is that? So reckon this will be the 'new thing' for festivals!? McDonald burger vans. Just imagine being able to wake up and curing a hangover with a Big Mac - it's got to be)
This is also the night where we managed to figure out the complicated S/U system which was a relief and quite impowering.
Today was a good day :-)
