Looking Out

In between meetings this morning I got the chance to stop at Newark Castle in Port Glasgow. It was cold and a bit blustery, but great to stand looking out over the River Clyde.

This shot was taken near Newark Castle in Port Glasgow. The old pier is pointing (roughly) in the direction of Helensburgh, which you can just make out on the far bank of the river. Further left as you look at it is the Rosneath peninsula. The Gare Loch separates the Helensburgh bit from the Rosneath peninsula.

You can't see it in this picture but further left again on the other side of the Rosneath peninsula is the entrance to Loch Long.

Looks better when looked at large.
