100 years old

Tonight I attended an event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Glasgow Jewish Representative Council.

In this blip Councillor Alastair Carmichael, the Provost of East Renfrewshire Council has just handed over a gift to Paul Morron, who is currently the President of the Glasgow Jewish Representative Council.

Today has been both an interesting and varied day that started with me chairing the judges at the English Speaking Union public speaking competition for 3rd and 4th year secondary school pupils. It was held in Douglas Academy in Milngavie and the standard of speaker was first class and made the judges job extremely difficult.
