Glasgow Warriors 11 - 9 Ospreys

I went along to Scotstoun Stadium tonight to watch the Glasgow Warriors take on the Ospreys from Wales. It was part of a £5 deal that allowed students from Glasgow to watch the Warriors game as well as the pre-match fixture of Glasgow University against Strathclyde University.

Disappointingly, the university tie ended 20-10 to Glasgow, which was a game that had everything from tries to mass brawls. It was a thoroughly enjoyable final derby match of the season.

Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for the main event's first 70 minutes. Spectators frozen by the bitterly cold wind had to endure a dull and error strewn match until the final 10 mins, which managed to produce some excitement. Glasgow's 75th minute try was enough to clinch an 11-9 victory after a last minute Dan Biggar drop goal attempt was charged down in the final play of the game.

It was a great way to spend the evening and fantastic value for money. I will certainly be back to cheer on the Warriors but perhaps on a a warmer evening or with more thermals.
