Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

I do:-) This is what it would look like in sterling!! One of the fascinating displays at the Museum on the Mound in Edinburgh, housed in what used to be the HQ of the Bank of Scotland.

My husband and I (that sounds familiar!!) took the bus through to the capital today to visit the "Mammoths of the Ice Age" Exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland and walked past this other museum en route. No photos were allowed of the mammoths, so this is my blip instead.

The Mammoth exhibition was (as feared) crowded, noisy and over-run with children far too young to understand any of the displays, but who recognised an elephant when they saw one and duly made lots of trumpeting noises and arm-waving trunk displays!

We retreated down The Mound to the far quieter confines of the Art Gallery to admire the Titians etc on show here.

A grey day in the capital, as in most of Scotland, in stark contrast to the glorious sunshine in the south of England, but I was much cheered up on arriving home to discover a lovely bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates from my darling daughter:-)
