Between fen and mountains

Magnolia

I noticed today the the magnolia flowers on the tree in the church yard were opening. They will look magnificent with the sun on them against a blue sky but today was not such a day. The sea mist barely lifted. Still I can always revisit for a blip at a later date. I spent the morning rebuilding a customer's longcase clock in their home then went to look at a two bedroom 13th century monk's house in a terrace in the centre of town. I believe they are the oldest buildings in the town. The house was lovely but more in the manner of a boutique hotel rather than a home. It was also impractical in its layout and because it had neither on road nor off road parking.
