Auspicious

It's well known that the Chinese consider that the colour red brings good luck.

In fact its almost as auspicious as a queue of neds and alchies outside the crisis loan centre amidst the beer cans and the piss smelling doorway at the end of Castle Terrace. Just out of shot to the right.

Suffice it to say that the natives were not all that impressed by the charade.

I did wonder if the photographer was going for a red phone box with the Castle in the background. But if he was using a wide enough angle lens to get the Castle then he definitely will have got some local character in there too.

Less Braveheart and more Begbie. If you know what I mean.

He must have just been doing close ups. But wouldn't you have picked a different phone box?

Nevertheless, they looked happy in the drizzle :-)

LOTD: I love Ames "evening beach soccer" blip - the repeating action shots is very filmlike and the processing is great. Its been my favourite since I saw it this morning.
