The Martians have landed

A Martian spacecraft landed in south Hertfordshire today. The Martians, unable to move easily in the greater gravitational pull of Earth, have built themselves monstrous machines to enable them to move around.

Their diet is unlike ours: they appear to survive on the minerals contained in building materials, and their terrifying machines have started eating buildings in the area. Resistance from humans is useless - and human survival depends on staying clear of their massive jaws.

(I am currently re-reading "War of the Worlds" by H G Wells, so may have got a bit carried away here. The old science block at school will have been totally eaten demolished by the end of the week, and they will start breaking up the floor slab over the Easter school holiday.)

A bit of fun for April Fools' Day - and my 500th blip!
