Snow on the Ben

One good part about being home is seeing the scenery, plus the fresh air and meeting family, albeit with one painful exception. Seeing the snow on Ben Wyvis when I got up lifted my spirits. Fred and I set out on a walk with Rory to see the hills. Fred's dad kept in touch to say where he was on the A96. Towards the end of the day, Fred and his dad were reunited and we headed back to the family home. Very tough. But we went to collect the two Jack Russells from close friends - more tears, but also comfort. Back home with Jack Russells around our feet and tea in our hands, and with the TV on, our minds could be elsewhere for a few seconds, but would always touch back to who wasn't there.
