Parliament - music, dancing and making

Another visit to the Parliament - celebrating Scotland's culture & creativity (though some of the attendees were rather taken with the CAMRA reception also taking place!). Excellent music from the Mischa Macpherson Trio and Drake Music Scotland, with Dance Iyahami and the Commonwealth Ceilidh leading the dancing, while Big Big Sing & Get Scotland Dancing encouraged people to get involved in Glasgow 2014 Cultural activities.

All very exciting, but I really enjoyed, once again, having the opportunity to make pretty things, as the fabulous Craft Town Scotland brought makers to the event. Attendees, MSPs (and colleagues) all taking the opportunity to sew a Harris Tweed badge, try some weaving or personalise a copper disc pendant. Great experience with lovely makers Marion Kane, Lorna Reid and Ange Sewell. Very good night!
