The Rumbas Brothers

We were up and out with the early bird this morning - not to catch the worm, but to catch the 6.25 from Sants Estacion to Madrid. We went straight to the Egyptian Embassy where we did the necessary paperwork to process our visas, which we pick up on Monday, Enshallah. Checked in at our regular little hotel, freshened up and then out to the airport by metro to meet my brother and blipper busboy, who was arriving from Edinburgh for the start of his Spanish holiday with us. The bed's still warm from my mum-in-law's visit! (Jean - if you're reading this, the sheets have been changed!) The return from the airport by taxi was when things went awry. See Barrioboy's account of the worst taxi ride we've had in our joint 24 years in Spain. I was really quite shaken and very glad when we all arrived back in the centre in one piece!

We had all had a wander round in the early evening and these two chaps, The Rumbas Brothers, were singing and playing their Spanish hearts out on Plaza Mayor. Out for dinner now. Busboy can't believe how busy the streets are, even at this time of night!
